Job Title: Phase 2 General Operative

The Phase 2 General Operative will work in a team of 2/3 emptying and filling tunnels with compost.
Main Duties
Operating specialised tunnel filling equipment which consists of a network of hydraulic and
electric conveyor systems
Opening and closing hydraulic tunnel doors
Operating the compost pulling winch and preparing for use with tunnel nets
Operate various computer systems as required
Washing conveyor and winch equipment thoroughly
Ensuring work area and equipment are kept clean at all times
Washing tunnels when emptied
Usage of temperature probes - this jobs involves some climbing on a ladder
General tidying and cleaning around the site
