We have an opportunity for a Public Area Assistant to join our dedicated Accommodation team. The Public Area Assistant ensures that all public areas of the hotel are serviced to a high standard.
Summary of key activities
- Clean public areas such as hallways, restrooms, lobby, restaurants, bar, event spaces.
- Perform daily assigned tasks in toilets, lifts, back areas, terrace, etc.
- Vacuum, sweeps carpets, polish furniture and fixtures, vacuum and polish elevators.
- Clean and maintain all equipment daily.
- Report maintenance to supervisor/ housekeeping desk immediately.
- Assist Guest in Public Areas when required and to deal with any customer complaints in a professional manner and notify management of these
- Have good knowledge of all hotel facilities, hours of operation, Restaurants, shops and function rooms.
- Post caution signs as and when required.
- Responsible for upkeep of all the equipment in use, report any damage immediately to Accommodation Manager
- Carry out periodic duties such as deep cleaning when required.
- Report and where possible take action on incidents of accidents or damage.
- Perform other duties as assigned to you by management to meet business needs.
Experience and skills
- Previous experience in accommodation or as a public area attendant a plus
- Must be eligible to work in Ireland with good English language skills
