CRAFTWORKERS – General Maintenance

St. Michael’s House provides a comprehensive range of services and supports to men, women, and children with disabilities, and their families in over 170 locations in the greater Dublin Area. It supports c. 2,300 people and this has an impact on thousands of family members.

Vacancy: Craftworker - General Maintenance x 2

Grade: Craftsman grade (HSE Payscales)

Contract: 1 x Permanent role,

1 x Specific Purpose Contract

Role - Working with the maintenance team in the Technical Services Department, provide a safe, effective, and appropriate maintenance service across approximately 170 properties.

Essential Requirements

Qualification / Skills / Essential Criteria:

  • A clean Category B driving license and their own vehicle for use in carrying out their role is essential.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a technical services, maintenance, or facilities management team.
  • Can demonstrate their ability to complete general maintenance tasks.
  • The ability to work independently. The ability to be able to diagnose issues and prioritise maintenance requests.

Salary Scale: In line with March 2023 HSE revised consolidated pay scales based on 39hours (Point 1 €37,385 – Point 11 €43,566). Should you have no prior public sector experience you will be placed on point 1 of the pay-scale above.
