The Grand is a fast-paced and vibrant live music venue situated on Main Street in Killarney town, where both locals and tourists alike socialise.
We have three incredible venues all under one roof! Paddy Sheehan's Bar boasting the best in local traditional music followed by incredible live bands on a nightly basis, The Nightclub where the finest of DJ's perform every night, with the best in lighting and sound providing an experience like no other, and finally The Piano Bar, where Ireland's finest entertainers perform and our speciality cocktails are served.
Please note this position is strictly only open to over 18 years of age due to the service of alcohol.
This is a fast-paced working environment with an emphasis on teamwork and a good relationship between all of our staff.
We are currently recruiting for Floor Staff to join the team.
The successful candidate will have:
- Friendly & Outgoing personality
- Be available to work night shifts during the week and weekends.
- The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, but this is not essential.
- Strong positive work ethic & work off their own initiative.
- Excellent Customer service.
- Be very organised.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Fluent English is essential.
- Knowledge of spirits and cocktails is desirable but not essential.
- Cash handling experience desired but not a requirement.
Responsibilities of the successful candidate:
- Passionate about delivering a high level of customer service.
- Maintain standards in accordance with our brand.
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies. e.g. preparing garnishes, refilling ice wells and general stocking duties.
- Use your initiative to stock up glasses, ice and stock when low during service.
- clean utensils and bar equipment such as glasses, drip trays and bar counters etc.
- Remove used glasses from bar counters and ensuring they are placed in the correct trays to be washed.
- Put dirty trays into the glass washer and store clean ones in the designated areas.
- Sweep up any broken glass and dispose of in the correct bins.
- Attend to spillages quickly and efficiently.
- Provide customers with information regarding live music and venues within the business.
- Responsible for the operation of the cloak room and ensuring customers belongings are safe guarded.
The ideal candidate will use their initiative to complete any tasks as they see them.
