Office Administration Assistant


 

Tervas Gas Ltd/Patrick Murphy & Sons Fuels Ltd. are a family run business with our head office located in Cork City. We are currently looking for an Office Administration Assistant. This person will play a key role in the day to day operation of the office/reception and will provide vital administrative support.

This person will have the ability to multitask, have excellent oral and written communication skills, can prioritise work and complete tasks accurately and fit in with our close knit team. They must have an excellent attitude to deal with various tasks and customers and relish the challenges within our organisation.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Answers and deals with incoming calls and emails; taking messages, forwarding calls and taking steps to resolve the issues if possible
  • Maintains clear and consistent filing systems, both electronic and paper
  • Dealing with customer enquiries and providing excellent customer service
  • Assisting with the management of the day-to-day running of the office
  • Create and maintain databases and filing systems
  • Update customers on status of project via telephone or email
  • Assist with the coordination of internal resources and third parties to ensure the flawless execution of projects
  • Data entry on to our accounts software
  • Excellent Telephone Manner and Customer Service Skills
  • Capability to prioritise, multitask and have a high degree of organisation
  • Social Media/Marketing office Champion
  • Assists in creating print materials such as brochures and handouts
  • Provides marketing support to technical personnel in their pursuit of new business
  • Excellent attention to detail is a necessity
  • Contact clients and send reminders to ensure timely payments
  • Ability to manage a busy and challenging workload

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and attitude a must
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred
  • Proven experience in writing, editing, communications
  • Must be proficient with the entire Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience in accounts packages a serious advantage
  • Solid data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors
  • Good organizational and time-management abilities
  • Able to handle multiple tasks efficiently, highly organized, with strong attention to detail

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: €25,000.00-€30,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Cork, CO. Cork T12 NY05: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • Office Administration: 2 years (preferred)

Work authorisation:

  • Ireland (required)

Work Location: In person
