MPS Planning Manager


 

Job Description:

Janssen Supply Group, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a MPS Plan Manager.

This position is a leadership role within the MPS network team and will be accountable for all elements of the master production schedule (MPS), ensuring customer requirements as well as inventory targets are met on a 3–36-month horizon. The MPS plan manager role will drive the team for a best-in-class MPS process and communication across for the Janssen LM business! It offers excellent potential for further career growth within the Janssen Supply Chain organization as it will give an outstanding experience in a sophisticated production environment (the API Large Molecule sites within Janssen, both internally and externally), as well as working within the global planning context.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Indirectly mentor the network of MPS planners to ensure an outlook of process improvement and value creation.
  • Integrate all independent and dependent Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) requirements, aligned with the E2E Planning Leads where applicable, including events Partner with Procurement to drive Supplier performance improvement including quality and timely delivery in line with the MPS.
  • Responsible for the creation, development, and maintenance of a constrained product plan for assigned assets / products for the site Master Production Schedule (MPS) to ensure customer requirements are met, while ensuring efficient manufacturing operations.
  • Responsible for developing & performing simulations, reports, and presentations to support management trade off decisions for the Supply Review Meeting (SRM).
  • Lead site performance management through a focus on service and cash flow management with specific attention on improving profitability through cost reduction, cost avoidance, and process improvements on site and across the large molecule platform.
  • Orchestrate the evaluation of current processes and the transition to improved future processes in conjunction with the wider team of MPS planners including standardization & automation.
  • Build internal and external relationships to ensure alignment on the future optimal plan and with an emphasis on cross functional engagement, influencing & alignment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications

Education:

  • A minimum of University / Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in a business or technical area
  • Master’s Degree or equivalent experience is preferred
  • Green Belt Six Sigma Certifications & Supply Chain Certification (APICS/ IBF) is desirable

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • At least 6 years’ experience is required
  • Must have Supply Chain experience, including planning, or accelerated growth potential

Preferred:

  • Experience within the manufacturing regulated industry (i.e., pharmaceutical, medical devices, consumer, etc.) is highly preferred
  • Deep understanding of ERP/SAP & Advanced Planning Systems (OMP) is preferred

Other:

  • Serve as a role model for Credo based decision-making.
  • Experience with one or more of the following processes: inventory management and inventory entitlement, supply chain management, supply planning, scenario analysis, Integrated Business Planning, process excellence, SAP systems and/or other manufacturing/planning business processes is preferred.
  • Demonstrated business insight and savvy in the areas of Supply Chain, Commercial and Financials is helpful.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a high proficiency in Excel is preferred.
  • Ability to embed a culture of harmonization and process improvement and value creation.
  • Ability to balance multiple initiatives and work in a multifaceted environment where priorities change rapidly.
  • Ability to partner with and influence others without direct authority; build consensus and look for collaboration with people from different departments and all levels.
  • Customer centric. Results and performance driven. Excellent problem solving and resolution implementation skills.

This role can be based in Cork Ireland, Leiden The Netherlands or Malvern US.
